- Best for: Cats and small dogs. We recommend this size for pets up to about 25 lbs — typical examples include Maltese, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier, Toy Poodle, and many cats. The square shape is ideal for curling or lying flat.

How to check fit — simple steps:
- Measure your pet length: from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. If that length is 25 in or less, this mat will give comfortable head-to-tail space when curled or slightly stretched.
- Measure chest girth (around the widest part of the ribcage). For small dogs under ~25 lbs this mat provides enough surface to curl and rest comfortably.
- Allow extra room: for comfortable lounging, add ~4–6 in to your pet's body length. If your pet's measured length plus 4 in is still less than 29.5 in, the mat will fit well.
- Tip: If your pet likes to fully stretch out, compare their full stretched length to 29.5 in. If they regularly exceed that, consider a larger resting area.
